A small café in a group of shops in the small seaside village of Carmel, California, USA. A waiter waits patiently to seat customers as a diner enjoys the open air of the garden seating. The stucco building is offset with a beautiful old world shingle roof adding to the atmosphere. The jumble of modern signage seems to blend seamlessly with the cobbled paths, potted plants and stone garden edges.

I loved the setting with the old touching the modern, the bright colours of the shade next door, combining with the red of the stairs and the signs, the reflections in the many windows and the green foliage against the old world charm of the building.

I'm an Aussie born and bred and I live in the great sunshine state of Queensland. I've owned and bred Arabian horses for more than 30 years and I've taken photos of them for much of that time. I've been lucky to travel a little and take my camera with me. I love Adobe Photoshop and I like to create something extra with my photos.
